TIME CELEBRATES ITS ANNUAL LIST OF THE 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD AT NYC GALA

Wednesday Night, April 26, 2023 – New York City:

TIME convened it’s 17th annual TIME100 Gala, celebrating TIME’s list of the world’s most influential people.

Time100 is an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, assembled by the American news magazine Time.

First published in 1999 as the result of a debate among American academics, politicians, and journalists, the list is now a highly publicized annual event.

So, more than 300 guests – including Hollywood’s top actors, global scientists, human rights advocates, and corporate directors gathered for the annual celebration to recognize the important work being done throughout the world.

For the first time, TIME presented a TIME100 Impact Award to Steven Spielberg. This prestigious honor recognizes a legacy of achievements, spotlighting global leaders who have done extraordinary work to move their industries forward, over the course of their careers. The award was presented to Spielberg by Ke Huy Quan and Drew Barrymore.

Spielberg has since become one of the most influential and celebrated figures of cinema, his directorial filmography includes Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, and most recently The Fabelmans, a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age film.

Jennifer Coolidge, The White Lotus star and Golden Globe winner hosted the gala, calling for unity in the world in these turbulent times.

She said she never imagined herself meeting a Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize winner, and sitting in the same room as the “new Elvis”, referring to Time100 honoree Oleksandra Matviichuk and Austin Butler.

Former CNN News Anchor Don Lemon made his first public appearance since being fired. NYC VIBE spoke with the controversial host who seems to be still in a state of shock after his abrupt dismissal after 17 years on the network.

Lemon was one in a crowd of dozens of big names including Doja Cat, Lea Michele, Angela Bassett, Aubrey Plaza, Salma Hayek Pinault, Gayle King, Kim Kardashian, Ke Huy Quan, Steve Lacy, Drew Barrymore and many others gathered at New York City’s Jazz at Lincoln Center…

Legendary actress Mia Farrow attended with her son Ronan Farrow, the acclaimed investigative journalist..
