Kara Young has cemented herself as a groundbreaking force on Broadway, becoming the first Black performer in history to receive four consecutive Tony Award nominations and to win back-to-back Tony Awards for Best Featured Actress in a Play. Kara joined the cast of the Broadway revival of David Auburn's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize® winning play Proof, starring as Claire alongside Ayo Edebiri and 11-time Emmy Award nominee Don Cheadle - jumping right into the production as a last-minute replacement for Samira Wiley. Mike Leventhal caught up with his dear friend - Kara Young - as the two-time Tony Award® winner will soon depart the cast to focus on TV and movie projects. Recently Mike asked the incredibly talented actress Adrienne Warren about returning to the stage to replace Kara in Proof. Out now in theaters - Kara stars in “Is God Is”, where two sisters embark on an epic quest for revenge, confronting a charged family history that will push them to extraordinary lengths.
