At East Hampton Library’s 20th Annual @authorsnight Benefit, longtime supporter Alec Baldwin was on hand to meet with the authors and greet the literary crowd enjoying the night.
One of the most popular and celebrity-studded events of the Hamptons’ summer calendar, Authors Night featured 100 authors across all genres.
The “Premier Literary Event of the Hamptons” has grown over its history to become one of the most successful celebrations of books and authors in America, and one of the largest library-author events of its kind in the country.
Baldwin stopped off at Adam Nagourney’s table – to pick up the The New York Times: How The Newspaper Of Record Survived Scandal, Scorn, and the Transformation of Journalism book – Then the father of seven made the rounds stooping off to talk with Mary McCartney, the daughter of The Beatles’ Paul McCartney and like her mother Linda, is a photographer, documentary filmmaker, cookbook author and activist.
Alec’s public appearances comes nearly a month after he had his involuntary manslaughter charge against him dismissed in New Mexico in connection to the 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western film Rust.
The Baldwins are now in production on a new reality series centered around their family lead by his wife Hilaria. Recently the family was seen filming with TLC in The Hamptons for a 2025 air date. But, what was on many people’s mind that night, will Alec play the role of Donald Trump this fall on Saturday Night Live? Seems he is still thinking about it…
